Tim Coleman
Tim, his wife Nicole, and their three kids call the Atlanta area "home." Originally from Chicago, Tim has been in full-time ministry work for almost 15 years now. Two years ago God began to mess with his world by calling he and his family to start a new church in the Atlanta area. The assumption early on was that Tim's mega-church background would lead him to start a church just like the ones he had been in for years. Slowly but surely though, God began to quietly call Tim's heart back to a simpler call...the mission of Jesus. Before long, people and resources added to the quiet voice and Tim started browns mill church, a church that exists to simply live like Jesus and lead others to do the same. Although amazingly overused in our day, the word missional came to define all that God was doing. It was just a call to live out the mission of Jesus in tangible ways to the communities God has called him to serve.
In addition to serving as the Lead Pastor at browns mill church, Tim also serves the missional/incarnational movement through missio. Tim leads the Southeast Regional Hub which connects church leaders (planters and existing church pastors; attractional and missional) to resources, opportunities, and ideas that drive us toward the pursuit of reclaiming the mission of Jesus in the church today. As someone who is living and working in the Southeast, he is really committed to resourcing and encouraging others in the region who feel a pull toward intentionally and ruthlessly pursuing the mission of Jesus in their community.
