Matt Smay Speaking Request
Thank you for your interest in having Matt come and speak with your leadership or group. The following form will allow us to learn a little more about you.
Here are some considerations for Matt as he visits:
Honorariums
Are to be made out to Matt Smay and sent to PO Box 270694, Littleton CO 80127
His fees are based on a daily scale of $1,000 per day and a pro-rated fee is also included for travel time. Matt prioritizes a healthy balance of ministry and family with 2 young girls at home, so he is very sensitive to spending extra nights on the road getting to and from a location. One or two night speaking engagements are preferred.
Based on the travel scenarios, we’ll suggest an honorarium that reflects his needs. Each group is different, and Matt also desires to make his time as affordable as possible, so please know that our suggestion reflects his heart to serve and to care for his family. We are very open to hear of any circumstances you’d like us to consider.
We ask for 50% of the honorarium to be sent in at the time of booking to hold his commitment and the other 50% to be paid after the event.
Travel Expenses
In addition to the honorarium, we’d ask that you cover all major expenses associated with travel. Airfare, rental car, and hotel. We don’t like to bother you with minor expenses like meals – so you’ll only be charged for the larger expenses.
We prefer to book our own travel and send receipts that can be reimbursed. We always work through discounted agencies and we’ll try to get the least expensive fares. We would ask that the reimbursement be sent to the same address in a timely fashion.
Book Sales
Please try to provide Matt’s books to your network prior to his time so that the conversation can move deeper. The least expensive way to purchase is via Amazon for AND: The Gathered and Scattered Church and The Tangible Kingdom, and via www.tangiblekingdom.com website for the TK Primers. If you desire to sell books at the event, please secure the books yourself and you can charge any fee up to $23.95 per book. Matt prefers not to purchase or make income from his own book sales.
Speaking logistics
Matt requires a large dry erase board for small and mid-sized events with some good pens. Also, let us know if there will NOT be a projector AV system available.
