Missional Community Leaders
Whether you're a small group leader and wish to move your group more deeply into mission OR you are trying to start an Incarnational Community from scratch, we have all the tools you'll need to get started. Here's our basic suggestion.
First, Recruit some friends to watch the five videos. These are designed to help you sell the vision, the reason why, and describe the life of an incarnational community.
Second, order enough TK primers for everyone in your group. The Primers are self-starting so you should be fine.
Third, visit the Incarnational Community FAQ's page which is our answers to all the questions we've been asked about EVERYTHING!
Last, hand out The Tangible Kingdom REMIX. Whether starting new groups or transitioning existing small groups, the REMIX can be used as a vision casting tool to discover those willing to participate in the eight week guide to incarnational community. Video #1: "Fiona & the Kingdom" helps your people understand the importance "kingdom life" and inspires them toward their friends and compels them to begin to rethink church
Video #2: "The new Mission Field" helps explain why the present church experience struggles to influence the culture and explains WHY we have to approach our culture as missionaries. Video #3: "The Old Missionary Structure: Incarnational Community: In this video we lay out the structure of an incarnational community as well as describing how they integrate (Inclusive Community/Communion/Mission)Video #4: "The life of Incarnational Community": In this video we storyform our way through "missional flow." This will help your people envision how the life of an incarnational community creates "context", friendship, and draws people toward God's kingdom and His community.
